Relief, PRN and per diem vet tech and assistant jobs

Relief, PRN, per diem, as needed: the posting words differ, the job is the same. You pick up shifts without a fixed schedule, usually at a higher hourly rate and without benefits. Every posting on this page uses one of those words in the title or the description, or the employer tagged it per diem in their system.

Relief is how a lot of techs cover a gap, test a hospital before committing, or stay in the field part time with a baby at home. The things the posting rarely says: the minimum shifts a month, whether you are expected to cover holidays, and whether the relief rate is above the staff rate. Ask all three.
