  • Assist with ordering, receiving, stocking, and organizing medications and pharmacy supplies.
  • Perform accurate medication calculations and maintain detailed medication records.
  • Communicate with clients and outside pharmacies regarding prescriptions and medication requests, referring clinical questions to the veterinarian as appropriate.
  • Provide veterinarian-approved medication instructions and support discharge communication within your authorized scope.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy workspace.

Charge Capture & Financial Accuracy

  • Review patient medical records, treatment sheets, and invoices to ensure medications, procedures, and services are accurately captured.
  • Identify missing, duplicate, or inaccurate charges and coordinate corrections with the appropriate hospital team members.
  • Audit patient invoices for accuracy and apply approved discounts when authorized.
  • Help maintain accurate treatment estimates and communicate financial updates to clients.
  • Partner with veterinarians, technicians, and client service teams to clarify treatment plans and associated charges.
  • Support consistent charge capture practices and accurate documentation throughout the hospital.
  • Communicate compassionately and professionally with clients regarding financial questions and treatment estimates.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve billing accuracy, pharmacy workflows, and operational efficiency.
