Licensed Veterinary Technician - Critical Care ($10,000 Sign On Bonus)

HVS is seeking a skilled, motivated Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our talented clinical team. Whether your background is in general practice, emergency or you’ve already worked in surgery or critical care, this is a unique opportunity to take your skills to the next level in a state-of-the-art hospital designed for learning, teamwork, and excellence.

In this role, you’ll work as a Veterinary Nurse rotating across a range of support areas. You’ll be trained and supported to grow your technical confidence in a fast-paced, well-resourced specialty environment. What You’ll Do:

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to surgical and hospitalized patients

• Place and manage IV catheters, administer medications, and monitor vitals

• Assist with blood draws, bandaging, oxygen supplementation, and patient rounds

• Communicate with clients during check-ins, updates, and discharges

• Work closely with a collaborative team of doctors, specialists, and fellow nurse

• Contribute to a supportive, respectful hospital culture built on shared purpose and mutual trust

What We Require:

• Licensure in New York State required
• 2+ years of experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician
• Anesthesia, Critical Care or ICU experience a plus
• Experience with practice management software, (ezyVet is our in-house platform)
• Adaptability, being able to pivot effortlessly while demonstrating a positive attitude with clients and co-workers
• Expert time management skills
• Highly organized and acute attention to detail
• Sound judgment with the ability to work ethically, independently, and responsibly
• Resourceful and collaborative problem resolution skills
• Strong and respectful written and verbal communication skills
• Dedication to excellent service for each client and patient
• Openness to feedback, coaching, and continuous learning

What We Offer:

• $35-$45/hr. Additional incentives available for candidates with a VTS in Anesthesia, ECC or Internal Medicine
• $10,000 sign-on bonus based on experience

We're serious about your growth and development. LVTs are eligible to receive unlimited CE reimbursement, including conferences, advanced skills labs, online subscriptions, and even textbooks.
